Most of our stuff was misc boxes because we sold most of the heavy furniture. The company commented that our stuff weighed less for the amount of space it took up. Still it costed $2000. We drove with one dog. It took us three days. If I were you, I would write the different options down and compare. I am sure that flying and shipping a car would be the most expensive route. The cats are going to be upset either way. You are not supposed to sedate an annimal for flying as it is considered unsafe for them. They might do better in a car. We moved from IL to AZ.
