If you receive federal funding, you can go to The General Services Administration and get everythng you need cheap. Also, I would check with all of the thrift stores until you find one that has what you need and are willing to give you a discount. Target store managers have the authorty to make donations of up to $50,000 for local charites. You might want to consider writing a proposal and getting a grant just for furniture and furnishings. Here's a link for grant sources that you might find useful http://www.intergate.com/~rclowney/g739.htm for more help, go to the Foundation Center and search through their database http://fdncenter.org/

Good Luck!

Most retail stores accept tax exempt cards...Most retail stores ..If you call the mangement of that store and explain youre organization chances are they will deal" or take to a "comittee" for election..as they may have others ahead of you. You can also find "great deals while supportting another organization "habitat for humanity" stores.. and even suplus stores..Goodluck
